Visit Beijing, Xian, Guilin, Hangzhou, Suzhou, Tongli, Shanghai (15 days )

Day 1 Arrival in Beijing Capital Hotel or Similar
Upon arrival at the Beijing Capital Airport, passengers on this tour will be met and greeted by our attentive local guide, and then transfer to the nice and centrally located hotel. The rest of the day will be at your own disposal for either relax or taking a walk.

Day 2 Beijing
Full day sightseeing starts with a visit to the famous Tiananmen Square, the largest one in the world, where you may walk around and take pictures. Afterwards, we go through a subway to north of the square and visit the splendid Imperial Palace, well known as the "Forbidden City", which was the place that the emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties lived and conducted the state affairs for over 500 years. After lunch in a local restaurant, we take visit to the enchanting Summer Palace at the northwest suburbs, which is one of China's largest and best-preserved imperial gardens served as summer resort for the emperor and empress in Qing dynasty. In the evening, a delicious Peking Duck banquet is arranged for you as a welcome party. (BLD)

Day 3 Beijing
The highlight today is to visit the extraordinary Great Wall, the symbol of China's ancient civilization, which was built along the top of mountains for over 2000 years. There is an old saying" One can never be a hero, unless having been to the Great Wall." On the way back, we stop by the Sacred Road to see 24 marvelous stone sculptures of animals and guards, which leads to the Ming dynasty's tomb area. We then continue our visit to the third Ming emperor's Tomb - Changling and its commemorating palace, now served as the museum displayed with valuable relics unearthed from the 13th Ming emperor's tomb. In the evening, a famous Peking Opera show is available after dinner. (BLD)

Day 4 Beijing
This morning, a very interesting Hutong Tour is planned for you to take a real look of the old Beijing"s courtyards and the ordinary families. You will be invited to ride on the pedicab running through the narrow lanes and call on the local homes to see their daily life. We may also take a visit to the community kindergarten, watch children's classes and enjoy their dance performance. After lunch, we take a visit to The Temple of Heaven, the most famous ancient architecture in China, uniquely built in 1420 as the place for emperors of Ming and Qing dynasties worshipped heaven and prayed for good harvest. Day 5 Beijing / Xian Purple Mountain Hotel or Similar
Today, we check out the hotel in the morning and take a special visit to Beijing Zoo to see the world unique animal - Giant Panda, as they are so lovely in the morning, strolling outside and eating bamboo as their major food. Afterwards, we go to visit the city's well-known Lamasery - Yonghegong, built in early Qing dynasty and was originally the palace for emperor Yongzheng to live and study before he was ascended throne. There are now still about 70 monks from Inner Mongolia live and make services here. In early afternoon, we fly to the ancient city Xian. This evening, there is a traditional Dinner Show arranged at the Tang Dynasty Palace. (BLD)

Day 6 Xian
Today we take the first stop at the well-known Provincial Museum displayed with lots of unique historical relics. Later on, we take a ride for one hour to visit the extraordinary archeological discovery - the 6000 life-sized Terra Cotta Soldiers and Horses buried over 2000 years with the first emperor of the Qin dynasty. Lunch en route in a local restaurant and on the way back, we'll visit the Banpo Museum, the original place where the ancient people lived in the matrilineal society over 6000 years ago. We come back hotel at 5:30pm. (BLD)

Day 7 Xian / Guilin Park Hotel or Similar
Check out the hotel in the morning and go to visit the ancient Bell Tower and the best preserved City Wall where you can walk along the top of the wall to enjoy the full view of the city and then, we make a stop at the famous historical site - The Big Wild Goose Pagoda. In the afternoon, we'll fly to Guilin, the most beautiful scenic city in China. (BLD)

Day 8 Guilin
Today's highlight is a relaxed cruising down the picturesque Li River, which stretches 83 kilometers with the steep and misty hill ranges along the riverbanks. The cruise takes over 4 hours and stop in Yangshuo, a charming little town with an unparalleled beauty of landscape. We'll make a short visit to the nearby villages before returning back to Guilin. In the evening, you may enjoy a fascinating minority song and dance performance after dinner. (BLD)

Day 9 Guilin / Hangzhou Wanghu Hotel or Similar
This morning, we take a visit to the unique limestone formations at Reed Flute Cave and then the Elephant Trunk Hill, the symbol of Guilin before heading to the airport for the flight to Hangzhou - one of the most beautiful cities in China. The hotel you stay is adjacent to the renowned picturesque West Lake while you may enjoy the leisure time there. (BLD)

Day 10 Hangzhou
The exciting day begin with the visit of the spectacular Lingyin Temple, a celebrated Buddhist monastery in China, and then take a visit to the unique Tea Museum that on display are all kinds of best tea products collected from different parts of China. After lunch, we take a wonderful boat ride on the West Lake and visit the special village of Longjing Tea plantation and see how the famous tea is produced. (BLD)

Day 11 Hangzhou / Suzhou Castle Hotel or Similar
Check out the hotel and take the early morning train to Suzhou for over 3 hours and along the way, you may enjoy the natural scenery of the vast rice fields. Upon arrival to the well-known garden city, we go to visit the Humble Administrator's Garden, the city's largest and uniquely built private garden in the Ming dynasty. In the afternoon, we make a tour of the Lingering Garden and the National Embroidery Institute, for Suzhou is one of the four major areas in China making the best embroidery products. (BLD)

Day 12 Suzhou / Tongli / Suzhou
The enchanting tour today is to visit Tongli, the ancient beautiful water town, about 18 km from Suzhou at the east of Grand Canal and close to Taihu Lake. It is surrounded and bisected by numerous rivers and is linked with many stone bridges. There are many well-preserved old houses and courtyards built in the early Ming and Qing dynasties. The typical feature is that the little town now still remains the living style of old days with quiet life and simple houses. You may take a walk on the street and enjoy the small boat ride along rivers to further explore the marvelous town. We will be back to Suzhou in late afternoon. (BLD)

Day 13 Suzhou / Shanghai Broadway Mansion or Similar
This morning, we take the coach via highway to Shanghai, the largest and fast developing coastal city of China. Upon arrival, we go directly visiting the famous Jade Buddha Temple, and then Yu Garden, a uniquely built nice garden of the Qing dynasty, adjacent to the famous old city market Chenghuangmiao, where it is always crowded with visitors and full of souvenir shops and snack restaurants. A fantastic Acrobatics Show is arranged in the evening. (BLD)

Day 14 Shanghai
Today, we take a visit to the marvelous Shanghai Museum, rich-stored and newly built on the People's Square, which is considered as one of the best arts and historical museums in China. Later on, our guide will show you the way to The Bund, a lovely waterfront regarded as the symbol of Shanghai. In the afternoon, there will be a visit to the Children's Palace where pupils are trained with all kinds of talents such as painting, singing & dancing or musical instrument playing etc., later on you can wander along the well known shopping street - Nanjing Road. A farewell dinner is planned in the evening to highlight our China trip. (BLD)

Day 15 Shanghai / Return home flight
This morning is at leisure and check out before noon. Our guide will come to meet you at the hotel lobby and help arrange transfers to the airport for your return home flight. (B)
