Visit Beijing, Xian, Shanghai & Suzhou (10 Days )

Day 1 Arrival in Beijing Capital Hotel (4 star-rated) or Similar
Upon arrival at the Beijing Capital Airport, passengers on this tour will be met and greeted by our attentive local guide, and then transfer to the nice and centrally located hotel. The rest of the day will be at your own disposal for either relax or taking a walk.

Day 2 Beijing
Full day sightseeing starts with a visit to the famous Tiananmen Square, the largest one in the world, where you may walk around and take pictures. Afterwards, we go through a subway to north of the square and visit the splendid Imperial Palace, well known as the "Forbidden City", which was the place that the emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties lived and conducted the state affairs for over 500 years. After lunch in a local restaurant, we take visit to the enchanting Summer Palace at the northwest suburbs, which is one of China's largest and best-preserved imperial gardens served as summer resort for the emperor and empress in Qing dynasty. In the evening, a delicious Peking Duck banquet is arranged for you as a welcome party. (BLD)

Day 3 Beijing
The highlight today is to drive 45 miles northwest of Beijing to visit the extraordinary Great Wall, the symbol of China's ancient civilization that built along the top of mountains for over 2000 years. There is an old saying" One can never be a hero, unless having been to the Great Wall." On the way back, we stop by the Sacred Road to see 24 marvelous stone sculptures of animals and guards, which leads to the Ming dynasty's tomb area. We then continue our visit to the third Ming emperor's Tomb - Changling and its commemorating palace, now served as the museum displayed with valuable relics unearthed from the 13th Ming emperor's tomb. In the evening, a famous Peking Opera show is available after dinner. (BLD)

Day 4 Beijing
This morning, a very interesting Hutong Tour is planned for you to take a real look of the old Beijing's courtyards and the ordinary families. You will be invited to ride on the pedicab running through the narrow lanes and call on the local homes and see their daily life. We may also take a visit to the community kindergarten, watch their classes and enjoy their dance performance. After lunch, we take a visit to The Temple of Heaven, the most famous ancient architecture in China, uniquely built in 1420 as the place for emperors of Ming and Qing dynasties worshipped heaven and prayed for good harvest. Day 5 Beijing / Xian Purple Mountain Hotel or Similar
Today, we check out the hotel in the morning and take a special visit to Beijing Zoo to see the world unique animal - Giant Panda, as they are so lovely in the morning, strolling outside and eating with bamboo as their major food. Afterwards, we go to visit the city's well-known Lamasery - Yonghegong, built in early Qing dynasty and was originally the palace for emperor Yongzheng to live and study before he was ascended throne. There are now still about 70 monks from Inner Mongolia live and make services here. In early afternoon, we fly to the ancient city Xian. This evening, there is a traditional Dinner Show arranged at the Tang Dynasty Palace. (BLD)

Day 6 Xian
Today, we first take the visit at the best-preserved City Wall where you can walk around on the top to enjoy the full view of the city. We then make a stop at the famous historical site - The Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Later on, take the ride for one hour to visit the extraordinary archeological discovery - the 6000 life-sized Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses buried over 2000 years for the first emperor of the Qin dynasty. Lunch en route in a local restaurant and on the way back, we stop at the Banpo Museum - the original place where the ancient people lived in the matrilineal society over 6000 years ago. This evening is free. (BLD)

Day 7 Xian / Shanghai Broadway Mansion Hotel or Similar
Check out the hotel in the morning and go to visit the ancient Bell Tower at the city center and the well-known Provincial Museum displayed with lots of unique historical relics. After lunch, we take the flight to Shanghai - the largest and fast developing coastal city of China. Upon arrival, a city tour might be arranged for you to get familiar with the bustling streets or a visit to the Children's Palace where the talented pupils are trained with all kinds of arts such as singing, dancing, painting and musical instrument playing etc. There is a fantastic Acrobatics Show arranged in the evening. Day 8 Shanghai
Today, we go to visit the Jade Buddha Temple, and then Yu Garden, a uniquely built private garden in the Qing dynasty, which is adjacent to the famous old market of Chenghuangmiao, crowded with souvenir shops and snack restaurants. After lunch, we'll have a visit to the marvelous Shanghai Museum that is newly built on the People's Square and considered as one of the best arts and historical museum in China. Later on, we take a stroll on The Bund, the symbol of Shanghai and the famous shopping street - Nanjing Road (BLD)

Day 9 Shanghai / Suzhou / Shanghai
A full day excursion to Suzhou by coach is another delighted experience for your visit in China. The city linked by the Grand Canal is well known for its many uniquely built private gardens of Ming and Qing dynasties. We take a visit to the Humble Administrator's Garden and the National Embroidery Institute. Boating on the canal and a visit at the silk factory is arranged before riding back to Shanghai. A farewell dinner is arranged to highlight our China trip. (BLD)

Day 10 Shanghai / Return home flight
The morning is at leisure and check out before noon. Our guide will come to meet you at the hotel lobby and help arrange transfers to the airport for your return home flight. (B)
